XIRUGRAVURAS is a book as an art object.
It contains 28 woodcuts created by 26 artists from the southern region of Brazil. It’s a 34 x 47 cm hand bound limited edition (400 numbered). All hand printed in a letterpress machine.Xiru’ means bro, from brother, old fella, good friend, in the tradicional way to speak, mixing the slangs of native aborigens with the traditional from Rio Grande do Sul state. ‘Gravuras’ means artistic woodcut. So what we have here is a book made between art and friendship.
